Everything here is published by them or employees of them. You can hear never before heard recordings and get an in-depth
look at the "up and coming" band.
The Doons started while we were in 7th grade. We've gone through numerous name changes, and we finally
settled on The Doons. We created this on our way to Noah's Ark in the Wisconsin Dells when we saw sand dunes on the
side of the road. We give most of the credit to Kevin and Nick, those two were the ones that spotted them.
We all have our variety of influences. The idea of starting a band came upon us when Kevin's (we call
him Goose) brother started a band. We followed in their footsteps, just a different genre. Nick has an oldy, yet
a newer type of influences. He likes Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Green Day (non-political)
and much more. Kevin is basically the same type except he also likes Smashing Pumpkins, Rolling Stones, and Weezer.
Chris is very modern. He's the one usually to complain when he hears older stuff. He is passionate about Lifehouse,
but also likes Green Day, Eve 6, Audioslave, Fall Out Boy, and many many more. Music is all Chris ever thinks about.
Now, Joey, well he's quite the character. He'll go for anything basiaclly, except for rap. He loves Pink Flloyd,
Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Audioslave, Sound Garden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, everything. He adds quite the twist
to our music.
We are an Alternative/Pop-Punk type of band. The Doons sound very much like Green Day, and a
tad bit of Nirvana (instrumentaly). So we guarentee you will like us if you like them. We will have a demo
from our very first show live (see Show Reviews for more information). We hope you like it!
